Alexadex is now Urladex

Using the popular Alexa Page Ranking system, Urladex allows players to buy and sell website popularity ratings.

Recently changed name from alexadex to urladex.

All Stocks Online staff recently had an email interview with Colin, the main developer behind the urladex, and we have transcribed the interview here.

ASO: How long has your game been running?
Colin: Launched in September 2005.

ASO: How many members do you have overall, and currently playing?
Colin: A little over 50k overall. As to active players, well into the thousands.

ASO: Do you offer prizes or run contests?
Colin: The top ten finishers in each season get a free t-shirt, that’s it. Plus the immortal recognition in the urladex hall of fame.

ASO: Does it cost anything for somebody to play your game?
Colin: No, absolutely free for all.

ASO: Can you give me a brief history of your site; development, ideas, etc?
Colin: I got the idea on a train ride trip one Friday evening, wrote the first version that weekend, launched Monday to friends, the rest is history. The ‘dex owes it all to it’s users - their comments, suggestions, bug reports, and support are what has made the game fun.
