The Fantasy Stock Market has been live since 1998 and focuses on teachers and students playing the game in friendly competition. We have conducted an interview over email with Traci, who is president of the FSM team, and she has answered a bunch of questions we felt our viewers would like to see.
ASO: How long has your game been running?
T: Fantasy Stock Market, Inc. has been around since early 1998.
ASO: How many overall members have you had signed up since you began and how many are still active?
T: We have had over 1/2 million members. Monthly participation varies.
ASO: Do you offer prizes or run contests?
T: We currently do not offer prizes.
ASO: Does it cost anything for somebody to play your game?
T: Subscription fees vary depending on how long the subscription runs. The fees run from $4.99 to $19.99. We do offer a free 7-day trial subscription so anyone can test it out for free.
ASO: Any other comments you may have.
T: We currently offer monthly games as well as two 1 Year Games where the members’ portfolios are reset only once a year. We also offer League Play which is ideal for teachers, friends, co-workers or any group that wants to compete directly against each other. Each group runs its own game, with its own unique League Standings.
