Trendio is a social networking prediction market set up in March 2006 and based in Sweden. This site allows players to buy words with the currency Trendillions and see how their words gain or lose value based on daily trands polled using Yahoo, Google and Technorati data feeds.

Based off the Wordpress blog engine, Trendio is a nicely laid out concept and looks to be quite popular among the blogosphere for it’s fresh take on the trends idea and the direction word trends can go.
